ABOUT

I am a New York State Licensed Master of Social Work, an artist and an educator. I have over 10 years of experience supporting college students as they develop their artistic voice and explore their identities, which has shaped my clinical interests. I have experience working with people in creative fields, navigating their gender and sexual identities, anxiety, depression, life and career transitions and higher education.
I use an integrated, person-centered psychodynamic approach grounded in compassion. This includes using concepts from Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatics, mindfulness and analysis. I identify as queer and use a queer lens in my work with clients, with the belief that each individual is the expert of their own experience. I do this by seeking to understand how my clients construct meaning of their world, by recognizing the strengths they already have and by supporting them in developing new insight. In this process, I seek to highlight and validate how the social environment and systems have impacted a client’s relationship with themselves and others, and to use the therapeutic relationship to dismantle hierarchies and offer new outcomes.

I received an MFA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MSW from the State University of New York at Brockport. Prior to returning to school for my MSW, I was Division Chair and Associate Professor of Photography at Alfred University. I have training from the University of Rochester Counseling Center, the Greene Clinic and the Insight Meditation Society.

In 2024, I was awarded a Distinguished Professors Scholarship from SUNY Brockport for research travel to Sweden, a Departmental Distinguished Scholar Award from the School of Social Work at SUNY Brockport and a scholarship from The New York State Society of Clinical Social Work.

I currently work at the Greene Clinic in Brooklyn and in the practice of Rebecca Dell’Aglio, PhD, a New York State Licensed Psychologist.
